TESTIMONIALS
Esme H. I first met Eric as a client, but it quickly became clear that he was more than a coach — he was a mentor who would fundamentally shape my path. Under his guidance, I went from simply wanting to improve my kettlebell technique to becoming a well-rounded, confident coach. Eric taught me how to program for individuals and groups, how to build a community, and how to break down and teach complex skills like the Olympic lifts, kettlebell progressions, and barbell work. He introduced me to CrossFit, guided me through certifications including RKC, DSP, KBCU, USAW, and SFL, and brought me into his own workshops so I could learn how to lead from the front. He reviewed my programs, helped me navigate client challenges, connected me with gyms & clients, and showed me how to build a coaching business with value. Every step of the way, he taught me how to lead with integrity, keep the focus on the client, and always stay curious. Eric is far more than a coach— he’s a mentor who builds coaches. If you’re lucky enough to work with him, you won’t just gain skills; you’ll walk away with values, confidence, critical thinking, and a lifelong mentor. I wouldn’t be the coach I am today without him — and I’ll continue learning from him at every opportunity.
Tiesha C. Eric is an exceptional listener, consummate professional and the absolute best motivator. He encouraged me to train for a certification when I casually mentioned the idea… unsure of whether I could complete it. He developed a safe and smart training plan that built my confidence and allowed me to walk into certification weekend with a sense I actually belonged there (I passed!). I trust Eric implicitly. He is always learning new techniques and sharing with enthusiasm. He listens to and understands my goals (ever changing as they are!) and never pushes me beyond safe limits. With Eric, I’ve learned that training doesn’t have to be torture to be effective— it is intentional, interesting and fun! I feel truly lucky for the opportunity to train with and more importantly, learn from Eric!
Erin F. I began training with Eric in the summer of 2024 after many months of feeling frustrated with countless work out classes and trainers who seemed more into themselves than me as their student. Being in my early 40s, I found that combinations of exercise and diet that always worked in the past not only plateaued, it even resulted in more weight gain and the loss of visible muscle. I knew I needed a different approach. I had little to no experience with kettlebells, but felt like it could be something unique and different to explore. Eric was an easy choice to train with- he is energetic, down to earth, kind, and someone I now consider to be a true friend. To say I struggled at first is an understatement. I was clunky and often confused as to the mechanics of the alignment. I could barely hang from a bar. Eric not only was patient and encouraging, he always made sure to keep me entertained. What started at once a week, quickly became twice a week. Eric works with a specific and diverse program for me, where we could track my progress and continue to build endurance and mobility. Though my strength and overall day to day function greatly improved, I found that “seeing” results didn’t come right away. I was often frustrated, but Eric would remind me to stay the course and ensured that I was heading in the direction of my goals. Week by week, Eric challenged me while we laughed and sang to his playlist. After just a year, it’s pretty amazing to see that major transformation has occurred and continues to evolve. What was first a struggle is now a feeling of empowerment, and everything in my closet fits better than it ever did. My fitness vocabulary has also expanded and feels like second nature. Eric is a one of a kind trainer. They call him El Capitán, and it’s for good reason. He sees your potential and he enables you to see it too. He builds you up, and your confidence builds with it. A true professor with well rounded expertise. I am very grateful for Eric and Fhitting Room for their innovative ideas around fitness and community. Though I work one on one with Eric, the students that attend group classes there have always considered me part of their community, and we remind each other that we are all in this together.
Megan Eric has always been a leader in the industry. He has continued to create opportunities for coaches to connect and grow together. He is the first to share resources, learnings and provide an empowering atmosphere to grow but your skills and your knowledge.
